I would like some advice on getting a consistent clean strike at the
back of the ball. I have a numerous lessons and watched umpteen
videos, I seem to have more success when I concentrate on keeping my
left arm straight and cocking my wrists, but I cannot seem to
perfect this drill every time . Is there anything I can do as I
cannot seem to break 100 even though I have been playing for about 3
years . Your help would be greatly appreciated.

There\'s a drill in my Tao of Golf video called \"No peeks swings\"
This drill is done like this...
No Peeks Swings.
This is the first contact drill that I did to begin hitting my
target. This is where your trust in your body will amaze you. Start
out with a wedge or nine-iron. If you\'re brave, use a seven-iron
like I did.
Choose a target about 75% of the maximum distance that you usually
hit that club. Put a ball down and swing with your new swing. (I.E.
no tension, finish high, toe drag etc.) I have one catch for you.
Don\'t watch where the ball is going! Let it go where it may. In one
word, fuhgettahboutit! You\'re getting used to a new way of thought
and movement so don\'t sweat the ball.
It\'s only the range anyway. I only want you to get used to the
swing without sweating the ball-flight. Remember, you\'ve already
taught your body how to swing with the other drills. It knows. So
let it happen. Keep your focus on the point-of-impact. As you swing
and the ball flies away, just set-up and place another ball, and
swing. Do this until you feel comfy and are making good contact
while finishing the swing.
Critical point:
If your belly button is not pointing down the target line at the end
of the swing, you\'re not finishing your swing. And guess what? If
you don\'t drag your toe, your belly button will not point down the
target line. Get it? Good. I have a few words of wisdom for you. And
I quote, \"preoccupation with ball flight is the root of all swing
flaws.\"
Pretty wise huh? Guess who said it? Yup. Yours truly. Don\'t sweat
the ball flight. Your body knows how to do it already. All you have
to do now is trust it.
After doing this, you should do lots of the \"walk through drills\"
from the video...
Walk through drills cure the \"lazy back leg\" and hitting-it-fat
problems that rob power and distance...
A note to all of you reading this...the walk-through drills are one
of the drills that erased my slice in a few minutes one day ten
years ago and will do the same for you!
