Adz Kozlowski, the PGA pro for the First Tee Golf School in Philadelphia is well-known on the east coast as a great golf teacher. He has ten professional
playing victories and as a teacher has helped golfers in Arkansas, New Jersey
and, more recently, in Pennsylvania. He is a PGA Class A Golf professional
with more than 20 years of teaching experience and 85% of his beginners
break 100 within the first year.
“The short game is the most important part of golf.”
On the Stroke Savers DVD, Kozlowski impresses upon us how many shots we
can shave off our game if we learn and practise the right way to use our
short irons. From the 16th green of the FDR golf course in Philadelphia,
Kozlowski shows us the touch and technique that can make some of the trickier
shots in golf an important part of your arsenal.
How many times have you reached the edge of the green in two but taken
four of five shots to get the ball into the cup a mere 60 feet away? Adz
shows us the ways that pros save shots from close in and if all you do is
imitate his relaxed confident manner and easy fluid swing, you’ll
lower your score in a matter of days.
The Stroke Savers DVD puts you alone with Adz Kozlowski in an intimate
and comfortable environment with a teacher who neither intimidates nor belittles
you. Adz loves the game and his natural, easy-going presentation makes learning
important golf shots about as hard as listening to a fascinating story from
your favourite uncle.
“I’m going to choke down, open my body a little bit, get the
club going straight back and straight through.”
Adz demonstrates a variety of shots around the green. It doesn’t
always have to be with your nine-iron, he points out. If you’re more
comfortable with an 8 or a 7 iron, he recommends using the club that feels
best in your hands. When he demonstrates the approach to a 65-70 foot chip
shot, you can hear that satisfying click on every swing he makes. And, of
course, the ball seems to have eyes, inevitably working its way close to
the hole. Order this great golf training DVD now!
“We advocate a flat left wrist, very stable, very solid going through
the golf ball.”
Adz has seen a lot of bad golf in his career. He has observed that many
of us, when attempting chip shots, slow down as we come through the ball,
frightened that we will hit the ball over the green. This causes us to top
the ball, or ‘clunk’ it just a few yards. Adz shows us how to
accelerate through the ball; the trick to hitting it with the right pace
is in the shortened backswing.
“If you can’t chip the ball efficiently, you can’t make
good scores.”
That long chip uphill has confounded most golfers. Adz makes a good point:
Most golfers practise on the driving range until their hands ache, but how
many of us put any significant time into perfecting the shots we’re
faced with every day on the course – the ones out of the rough close
to the green? Adz recommends that we spend 80% of our practise time around
the green and only 20% with the big club.
Stroke Savers includes some terrific putting advice. In fact, Adz admits
that over his career, he has not putted as well as he would like. So he
shows us a simple, but empowering trick with the ball logo that has changed
his putting technique.
“Generally the guy who strokes the ball the best makes the most
putts.”
There’s one very amusing moment in the putting section of this DVD.
Adz lines up three balls from about 15 feet away. But after sinking the
first two, he decides not to try the third, quipping, “I can’t
do any better than that!”
He goes on to show us how to use the sand wedge for those intimidating
50-yard shots to the elevated green. But not all short shots should be made
with the sand wedge.
“A lot of golfers tend to get married to the sand wedge when they
get within 100 yards.”
Adz gives examples on using a pitching wedge to great advantage from 75
yards out. It’s all about the acceleration through the ball and the
veteran golf teacher shows how a relaxed and confident swing can lead to
closer shots and better scoring.
Stroke Savers is very much a throw back to a time when life and golf were
much simpler things. If you’re looking for a heart pounding, head
throbbing, rock and roll video, this is not the one. This is a simple, straight
forward, no frills, dead ahead golf lesson and it’s meant only for
people who are serious about improving their game. There’s no fancy
editing, no hi-tech graphics, no booming voice over from a hyped-up salesperson.
It’s just Adz, a great golfer and great teacher with some fantastic
ideas on some of golf’s more challenging shots.
Adz has no third millennium contraptions or exotic machines to improve
your game. Actually he has just one terrific teaching tool – his body.
Watch how Adz makes the shots and commit that to memory. His most impressive
credentials are his backswing, his contact and his follow through. Order this great golf training DVD now!

+ Routine and planning on the tee
“Have no fear. This is not as difficult as you think because it’s
the only shot in golf where you’re not trying to hit the golf ball!”
When Adz shows us the ball pinned against the rough on the collar of the
green, all of recognize one of the most perplexing shots in the game. You
can’t really putt it because the deep grass behind the ball catches
the putter. What do you do?
Adz shows us, and you just might be surprised to see which club he uses
for this shot.
What is not surprising is how much Adz Kozlowski knows about this game
and what an efficient and completely unstressed golf swing he has. Adz makes
a golf shot look as natural as combing your hair.
“Your sand wedge is probably the most versatile club in your bag.”
If the sand wedge is the most indispensable tool in your golfing equipment,
then Stroke Savers should be the most indispensable DVD in your collection.
For less than the cost of one lesson, Stroke Savers can take you to a
place where you’re scoring lower than you ever did before. And making
this so much better than a personal lesson is the fact that you can cue
up the lesson you want anytime you want and as often as you need to!
Spend an hour with the man who can change your golf game. And when your
friends ask you why you’re playing so much better, drop the name:
