"As a golf instructor I find that the tape series for short game, how to practice and slice busting clinics help a great deal when I get a student that is having a problem understanding the mechanics of the swing. I also run golf clinics for one of the local counties and use the tapes when the weather keeps us inside. I like to view the Faults and Cures DVD occasionally to keep myself sharp an able to help some of my more accomplished students when they are having problems. From beginner to the better player these tapes and DVD,s help you with your golf swing in a way that is easy to understand and apply to your swing. "I used to be a 10 Hdcp- Now a 5 Hdcp I bought the body golf cd with Mark showing the drills with the book to follow along. I was tired of Shooting a great round followed by a poor round time after time. I knew I had the athletic ability but just did not have the keys in my mind to go to during a bad round. My range of scores ( My country club par is 72.) Would be from 2 over to 18 over depending on the day. Inconsistentcy was making me miserable. I can not remember where I found you guys on the internet. I can tell you that it has forever simplified my golf game. Double Clubbers are the King! That one drill could put a ton of golf pros out of business. A guy on the range the other day asked me how long I have been playing golf. I told him about 7 years. His comment was " Wow! You strike the ball way better than most people he knows that have played golf a whole lot longer." This guy is a 3hdcp whose 12 year old son is top 3 in state for his age. What an ego boost for me to be called a great ball striker! I am 100% sure that what has given me this edge is the posture drill coupled with the double clubbers. It is such a relief now for me to only think about hitting the ball now- vs before thinking about swing plane, inside out, don't pull this one, etc. What really gives me confidence is knowing that if things start to go south for a couple of holes, I can just check my posture, do the double clubbers in between holes/shots for 20-30 seconds and I am back in the groove! Another bonus is the e-mails you guys send out. They are entertaining and insightful. Some times human nature gets us lazy and maybe I will forget a tip I learned before. So instead of finding the cd/ book, which would take effort, I generally see it in one or more of the e-mails from you. When I started hitting my approaches (short to mid irons) 15-20 yards left, I e-mailed you with a plea for help. Shortly later in one of your group e-mails you addressed my problem with the a possible solution of just trying a little wider stance. Not only did it work, but I am sure that someone else on your list had a similar problem that you helped as well. You guys are great and I would suggest that before anyone goes to their local pro to spend a ton of money on just enough information to make them go back and spend more....They should get on your program and start not only kicking their golfing buddies tails, but with the money saved from you guys they can now do it with any golf ball they want with no fear of losing them in the water!" "The two latest CD's from you 'The Body Golf - Slice Busting Clinic" has been a tremendous help for me. I've been a slicer for the last forty years and now with your instructions I ambeginning to have more confidence as to where my drives are going to go. I can now usually predict left - right or middle of the fairway. The other CD "Faults and Cures" has also been a great help to my game. Between these two cd's by body stance, address and getting my club head thru the ball is a tremendous improvement. I can't thank you too much. Sincerely, Renneck Wilson, Fairhope, AL.
"If not for this site and the golf instruction program, I would not be enjoying our wonderful sport today. When I started playing golf nearly half a century ago, there was no golf on television, there were no internet instruction sites, no video tapes or CD's. My folks could not afford the country club, so my concept of golf came from library books and watching a variety of styles displayed at the public course. When I began playing I had never seen a good golf swing. Being young, athletic and with good reflexes and hand-eye coordination, I developed an all arms-and-hands type swing that allowed me to hold my own with my group, until I lost all that youthful ability. Then came a long period where career and lack of interest curtailed my golf to no more than a handful of high-scoring rounds each year, and the game no longer held me in its charm. Today, I play nearly every day, and shoot in the mid to high 70's most rounds, all thanks to the Body Golf series, especially that very first tape. After I viewed the tape several times and began applying its principles, golf truly became easy. Certainly, I still miss one now and then, but most shots fly true, and the game is much more manageable. When I decided to get back into golf in a big way, a spent a small fortune on tapes, practice clubs, even took a few lessons from the pro. But the best return for my money came with that first Body Golf tape. And the tips in Dr. Myers e-mail newsletter are a bonus. There is a secret to better golf."
"I bought the "Body golf full swing video" a couple of years ago. I have to say it has helped me a lot with my game. I specially recommend the double club exercise. When I do it regularly and really focus to relax, I increase my accuracy and, not the least, my driving distance on the course with up to 50 yards. One additional tip from me is to video record the swing as often as possible. That is the best way to confirm that you are doing the exercises right."

"I am a golf instructor as well as a fitness instructor and feel that one of the key ingredients of any golf instruction program is to teach the value of flexibility, strength and endurance training. I have found the videos Mark, to be targeted to exactly the market that needs the most help with this type of training. I review the tapes on a regular basis which is the best way to gain new insights and information. I learn something new every time I review the tapes. By the way, I am 69 years young, and my students are amazed at my own flexibility, strength and endurance. I've added at least 50 yards to my drives off the tee with my strength and flexibility training and heavily endorse these fine videos and feel that they should be a part of everyone's home library." "I purchased the Total Body Golf package(5 tapes), while I'm not ready for the Tour, I have seen much improvement. The thing I've most enjoyed is the fact that I can do the drills every day, with out having to devote hours of practice.I 've only been playing for about five years and as a newcomer to the game, I've wasted more money and time on other products that delivered less than satisfactory results. This even includes private lessons! The game is again fun. When I purchased your package I usually shot in the 110's and higher, but with a few minutes a day of drills I shot in the 90's last season regularly. Thus making the game more fun for me. Thanks!!"

"i brought the body golf vidios and found a lot off information from it that has inproved my golf shots 100 percent i do the cross over hand grip when i'm about 120 from the greens and hit the ball straight to the pin every time i also do the same shot on the 100/120 par threes and get the ball within a metre all less from the pin i find using the crossover grip i hit the ball straight every time also my putting has inproved 100 percent i found the vidios have helped me from hitting the ball from the tee to playing my shots around the greens and putting. where i was shotting 100 now i'm shotting 80 as i only play about 20 games a year because of work i feel if i could play 2 games a week i could get down to around par or better so the vidios have helped me 100 percent and the tips you send me also helps me thank you.

"Hi, Well let me start by saying that I really enjoyed the DVD's in "THE BODY GOLF " series .. I purchased ..... The Full Swing Clinic ..... Slice Busting Clinic ..... Trouble Shot Clinic ..... How to Practice Clinic ..... Short Game Clinic Each DVD was presented extremely well by Mark.. My two favorites was The Full Swing... and The Short Game.. It was explained so that it made me go back to the basics.. and relearn them... thus making my swing repeat it's self... once more... My Thanks" Ken
"Dear Joe. Last summer you sent me the full swing clinic. I gotta tell you the "Swing clinic" is great. My handicap is down to about 20 but just know I can bring it down to 10-12 this year. I'm not making excuses but up here in Canada we don't have a long enough season. I believe that making the choice to stay with one set of simple ideas is the way to go. There is a lot of confusing stuff on the market, and beginners need to stay with basic training. I like your weekly newstips. They give you one thing to practice and one thing to think about. Thanks for getting me on the right path and I will fill you in when I reach par. Thank again," Bob Thole
"Joe, a few comments on your Body Golf program. You constantly hear and read that by incorporating a simple technique into your Golf swing you will impress your friends. I will honestly say that by the time I had read p.16 of 'The Body Golf handbook I had grasped the secret. It is the "Handcuff'swing, along with 'Double clubbers' and the toe drag. By removing the hit impulse tendency of the right hand you learn how to develop clubhead speed and keeping your arms and shoulder triangle intact. For playing I change the handcuff grip to having two fingers of the right hand loosely on the grip. On the downswing I consciously keep my arms and shoulders tension free and maintain the triangle. I do feel the heel of my right hand pressing against my left hand. It becomes almost a 'Hammer throw' technique. The tremendous clubhead speed brings a perfect follow through, knees together, rear big toe barely touching the ground. Perfect balance, long, straight beautiful shots.
"Dear Dr. Meyers, Back in May of '05 my brother mentioned that he had started golfing and I should join him. Well I haven't played golf or swung a club since I was a kid, "sure" I said. I went out and bought a set of clubs, went to the range and was brutally swinging away until the large bucket was empty. "Ah, feels good, lets go!" We went to the local 18 and played. I shot somewhere over 140, lost a dozen or so balls, had an aching back, neck and sore left toe! I was so angry the whole day wondering what the ^%$$#^ was going on?! Next day I am on the internet looking for help. I run across "thinkandreachpar.com. I check out the site and see there are instructional videos taught by an Aikido Sensei! I have been studying Aikido for 8 years, so I decided to read further and buy some videos. After watching the first video, "Full swing", I was hooked! I could not wait to get to the range. I applied what I just viewed, stance, grip, set-up, shoulder turn, swing high with a toe drag. It was a big difference from my previous trip to the range. I starting ordering more of the full swing videos by Sensei Mark, even got one as a birthday gift from a fellow worker who noticed my enthusiasm about "thinkandreachpar.com". To make a long story short, I have gone from a score of 140+ to low 90's in ten months(I was out for nearly one month with an injury), use no more than four balls in a round, and physically feel great. Each time I play is better than the next. I feel like I have the confidence of a tour pro. Each video ties into each other making it easy to follow. They are helpful in every aspect of the game, even for those seasoned veterans out there. When I run into a problem on the course I'll watch the appropriate video to find out why I had that problem, how to fix it, and then to the range to reinforce it. One of the more helpful videos for me was the one on "trouble shots". I live in So. California and it seems the only place they build courses is through the multitude of canyons out here. First time I had to hit my three wood off a steep slope, I nearly twisted my ankle and fell over. Everyone was laughing so hard no one saw where the ball went. The "short game" video really helped, especially with those little short(1-2ft off green) shots. And I also tried the "yoga" video with great results. After a couple months I noticed in general all my shots seemed to travel a little further. My favorite is the "how to practice" video. The way Sensei Mark teaches you how to get the most bang for your buck(time) at the range is, to me, priceless! Your selection of videos is providing me with simple, logical, fundamentaly simple instruction. Golf is really fun now! What is real nice is the attention you, Dr. Meyers, put into your company. I save, on a clipboard, all the tips you provide in your newsletter. I look forward every day to your newsletter and envy your common sense approach to golf. I am going to be purchasing the newest video "faults and cures" next month. Thank you,"
Gary Tomaska, Rosita Solana Beach, CA. 92075
"I have enjoyed the newsletters and the DVD's. My area precludes golf from Nov. to Feb/Mar. Between the stay fit and the regular videos I have been able to go from a 13/14 handicap to a 9/10. Pure fun. The simple swing and short game approach are truly outstanding. Anyone can find a better golf game by using this approach to golf. I am 73 years young. Thank you all."
Russ Ruonavaara, Joseph, Oregon
"O.k. So, today after work I stopped at the range to work on the elusive swing. When I tried a few swings with the driver, I remembered the grip sequence Mark talked about on the Power Steps tape. I tried placing it in my left hand that way. I used think I had a good grip with it more in my fingers, but I had nothing to lose by placing the butt end of the shaft more across the palm of my hand as well as turning the left hand over with a couple knuckles still showing. I placed the right hand opposite the left. As the well known South Eastern prophet would say, "Shazam!" I tried my old grip and flew it about 225-230. I got more carry with the new grip, but more importantly, the ball chased after it hit the ground. I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow so I can play a few holes after work. On the page with Power Steps and put it in a box so it will show up. Thanks"
"Dear Joe, Congratulations on a great newsletter which enjoy each week! The jokes, quotes, tips and instruction are all excellent and I wish you every success as The Video's are a great tool for any-one looking to improve." Andrew Cartledge CHIEF INSTRUCTOR Australian Golf Teachers Federation.
"I really do believe in your golf instructional videos. I have complete sets of your Body Golf Videos and Short Cuts to Better Golf. I really improve a lot in my game. Thanks to Mark for his simple and easy to understand instructions. I am ordering this Body Golf Power Step wishing to add more distant to my shots." Samuel V. Agra, M.D. Los Angles, CA
"I purchased the complete body video some time ago and have had a great deal of success with it. I wear a permanent prosthesis on my lower right leg below the knee so balance has been a very difficult achievement for me. Swinging the multiple clubs has vastly improved my balance and along with that I have learned to "tuck" the right elbow which has greatly improved my distance since the amputation. I am the proud achiever of again reaching bogey golf in my quest to returning to my previous standin of "shooting in the 80s" Thanks for all your assistance...."
Alan Wood Capitola, CA 95010
"I did purchase your "The Body GolfFull Swing Clinic" and I didn't try to do everything at once but the firstexercise that was on the tape has helped me the MOST...quick and easy warm-upand no more fairway slice!
Also the special chip shot technique works better than promised!
Thanks for all the help you give and keep the newsletter coming LONG OR SHORT"

"Body Golf is the best set ofgolf video's I have ever seen!! These video's cover it all from long game, toshort game, fitness and flexibility conditioning, and specialty shots that everygolfer should have in his bag. I could not give them a higherrecommendation." - Jan T. Knight (retired teaching Pro), Columbia, SC "I would like to tell you that I was surprised at how easy it was to follow and understand the drills presented in The Body Golf Full Swing Video. After practicing the drills in my garage for four days, I went to the range and was able to swing the club without thinking of what I was doing. The ball just "got in the way". Next to the course and I amazed myself with how I hit twelve of the fourteen fairways with my driver and proceeded to hit a career best 44 for the front nine. Too bad my short game abandoned me on the back but I did end up with a 91 (I usually shoot 102). This is by far the best video I own (and I own many, many tapes which only a professional could understand and emulate.)" - J. Magri, Petaluma, CA
"Good morning, yes the body golf full swing video has taken ten strokes off mygame, you see I am a first year golfer and have a long way to go. But theVideo has really helped to improve my swing." - R Peebler, Burlington,Iowa "Great video. My shots are now unbelievably accurate, and my swing is completely repeatable. This is clearly the best instructional golf video ever." - Richard Smith, Canton, OH "Many great ideas that actually work! The biggest improvement Ihave seen is added accuracy, particularly on my approach shots to the green.Mark's advice to center your hands to the ball position made remarkableimprovements to the accuracy and crispness of my shots. My hands had previouslybeen well in front of the ball, causing combinations of fat, thin, and sometimespure, shots. I could never predict when the pure shot would occur, or the fat orthe thin for that matter! Centering the hands to the ball was worth the price ofthe video alone.
Mark's lesson on chipping to the green with a 5 iron was also tremendouslyhelpful. I no longer use a wedge when within 20 yards off the green, which alsowas wildly inconsistent. Using a putting stroke with the 5 iron is pure genious!!
My advice: get the Body Golf video and radically improve your game very easily."
- Tim Consiglio, Hauppauge, NY "I have finally begun to enjoy golf. After viewing and practicingthe techniques from the Body Golf Full Swing Video for a few weeks my swing hasimproved to the point that most of my play is from the short grass instead ofthe woods. My three wood has been my driver because I did not have enoughconfidence in my one wood. Now I can hit the big stick without hitting everyball into the forest. It goes to show that with proper instruction even I candream of reaching par." - J. Martin, San Antonio, TX "I thoroughly recommend the BODY GOLF series of videos. I am particularly enthused with the ease of learning a proper golf swing by the use of the three swing drills. You immediately gain 'the feel of a proper golf swing' and a superb tempo within a few minutes of using the drills. It is the most stress free, harmonious, and the least physically demanding of all the systems I have tried to date. I teach my grandchildren the BODY GOLF swing. You immediately use the natural, graceful, swing of Bobby Jones with the "oiliness" of the great Sam Snead's swing. I used to enjoy "gripping it and ripping it". Now I think of the effortlessness of V.J Singh and David Toms and my scoring has improved dramatically." - A. Dunn, CANADA Joe, "THE FULL SWING VIDEO AFTER JUST THE FIRST VIEWING HAD MY TEE SHOT FLYING STRAIGHTER AND MORE ACCURATE THAN I'VE EVER BEEN ABLE TO BEFORE. THE TECHNIQUES ARE EASY AND UNDERSTANDABLE TO USE. THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING AN INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO THAT WORKS!" - R. Smith, Fairfield, ME "Simple and easy to learn. This is the best I have ever seen on improving my putting game. I took 5 strokes off my putting game after watching the video just two times. Here is my order for the other Body Golf video's." - Ed Harris, Charleston, W. Virginia "In my first year of playing golf, I was able to out-drive my six-foot-four, 225-pound husband. He hates it. I love it!" -L. Lemay. Leominster, MA. "Mark's training technique should be THE training guide for the PGA." -M. Sahr., Golf Champion, Boca Raton, FL "As a beginner, I was able to take 30 strokes off my game in one month!" -Vince S. Manchester, NH "I turned a 12 handicap into a 6, and won my club championship in one season thanks to Mark's training!" -Arni G., Iceland |
